The Way to God

[ Chinese | English | Vietnamese ]

We Have Lost Our Way

"We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way" (Isaiah 53:6). • "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" (Proverbs 14:12) • "Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins" (James 4:17). • "All of us have become like one who is unclean" (Isaiah 64:6).

Despite our best efforts we are unable to remove the guilt that separates us from a holy God.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). • "For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). • "Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).

God Has Opened a Way

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). • "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). • "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18).

The way is open. The choice is yours.

Your Part

  1. Recognize that your sin separates you from a holy God.
  2. Realize that God loves you and believe that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again from the grave.
  3. Receive Jesus into your life by faith.

You can pray to God something like this: "Thank You that You sent Your Son to die for me. I know that without Him I would be separated from You forever by my sins. I invite Him into my life to be my Savior."

How to Grow as a Christian

  • Read the Bible to learn more about God and His principles for living.
  • Attend a Bible-believing church where you can grow spiritually and worship God.
  • Turn from what the Bible calls sin.
  • Pray to God often to share your joys and problems and to confess your sins.
  • Tell others about your Savior.
