Công Vụ 2:16-18
“… đây là những gì đấng Tiên Tri Giô-ên đã nói, 17 ‘Ðức Chúa Trời phán, Trong những ngày cuối cùng, Ta sẽ đổ Thần Ta trên mọi loài xác thịt. Các con trai và các con gái các ngươi sẽ nói tiên tri; Những người trẻ tuổi sẽ thấy các khải tượng; Những người già cả sẽ mơ ước những ước mơ. 18 Trong những ngày ấy, Ta sẽ đổ Thần Ta trên các tôi trai và tớ gái của Ta; Chúng sẽ nói tiên tri.”
“… this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.”
I. Dream On
> Do you dream… and what are some of your dreams? (Bạn có đang mơ ước không, với những ước mơ gì?)
# MS – I just dream to get through w/ school, have a good job, and one day retire happily? (Chỉ mong học cho xong, kiếm được một việc làm tốt với nhiều quyền lợi, một ngày được về hưu.)
# I dream to find a perfect mate – the right girl or a cool guy? (Tìm được một người bạn trăm năm lý tưởng.)
# Maybe I just want to have a happy home with couple kids, a big house with swimming pool, nice cars – got my “American Dream.” (Một gia đình hạnh phúc, dư dật, sung sướng, đạt được mộng ước của một người công dân Hoa-kỳ.)
> What’s about the things of God - Do you have any dreams? (Nhưng còn những điều thuộc của Chúa, bạn có những mơ ước nào không?)
# How many of you dream to be a missionary when you grow up, reaching out to the end of the world, possibly to Vietnam? (Có bao nhiêu người ở đây đang mơ ước một ngày trở nên một nhà truyền giáo đến những nơi xa xôi, như là nước Việt Nam?)
# How many parents here want their children and grandchildren growing up to become a youth pastor, Sunday School teacher, worship band leader, children group minister of VHBC? (Bao nhiêu cha mẹ ở đây đang mơ ước con cháu mình một ngày trở nên vị mục sư trẻ, thầy cô dạy Kinh Thánh, lãnh đạo ban ca ngợi, lãnh đạo ban thiếu nhi của Hội Thánh này?)
# How many church members dream this place will be full of people; Each Sunday there are 3-5 different services in Cambodia, Spanish, English languages? (Có bao nhiêu hội viên đang trông đợi chỗ này một ngày sẽ đầy người ngồi, mỗi Chúa Nhật có 3-5 buổi nhóm khác ngôn nghữ nhau?)
> How many youths dream to have 200-300 youths coming to Thanksgiving camp each year? (Các bạn trẻ có ai đang mong một ngày trại tạ ơn sẽ có đến 200-300 người trẻ đến dự không?)
> Then we need to dream and dream for the things of God. (Nếu muốn như vậy thì c/ta phải có những ước mơ những điều này từ Chúa.)
> And we must let the Holy Spirit to help defining our dreams for the glory of God. (C/ta phải để Thánh Linh Chúa định cho c/ta những mơ ước này thành sự thật… đem vinh hiển đến cho Ngài.)
II. The Fulfillment of the Prophecy
> Last 2 week sermon, I shared a message about the power of the God’s Spirit / today, I want to explore when His power comes powerfully upon us, the born-again Christians can prophesy, see visions and dream for God. (Hai tuần trước đây, tôi chia sẻ bài giảng về quyền năng Thần Linh Chúa, hôm nay c/ta sẽ học biết, khi Thần của Chúa tuôn đổ trên con dân Ngài, thì c/ta có thể nói tiên tri, thấy khải tượng và có những mơ ước.)
> Acts 2:16-18 we read this morning, already happened at Pentecost – 50 days after Jesus’ resurrection (Easter), when the Holy Spirit came, fulfilling a promise of God, that was spoken by the prophet Joel 2:28-29, about 400 years before Jesus was born – “I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions… Even on my servants, both men and women… 30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth… But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved…” (Công Vụ 2 sáng nay c/ta đọc là lời tiên tri có chép trong sách Giôên nói trước khi Chúa Giê-su giáng sinh khoãng 400 năm, đã được ứng nghiệm trong ngày lễ Nghũ tuần, là 50 ngày sau khi Chúa Giê-su sống lại, lúc Thánh Linh giáng xuống – “Rồi sau đó Ta sẽ đổ Thần Ta trên mọi loài xác thịt; Các con trai và các con gái các ngươi sẽ nói tiên tri; Những người già cả của các ngươi sẽ mơ ước những ước mơ, Những người trẻ tuổi của các ngươi sẽ thấy các khải tượng. 29 Ngay cả các tôi tớ Ta, các tôi trai và tớ gái của Ta… 30 Ta sẽ ban những điềm lạ trên trời và dưới đất… 32 Bấy giờ, ai kêu cầu danh Chúa sẽ được cứu…”)
> God promised a day would come (at Pentecost) when His people would be filled with His Spirit; and when they were full of God, the Spirit of God would give them gifts to prophesy, see visions, and dream about the things of God, regardless of genders… as male or female, nationality as Jews or gentiles, ages as old and young, or social class includes masters and slaves. (Đức Chúa Trời đã hứa một ngày sẽ đến, và đã đến rồi đó là ngày lễ Nghũ tuần, mọi người, không kể nam hay nữ, người Do Thái hay kẻ ngoại, gìa hay trẻ, làm chủ hay đầy tớ, đều sẽ được đầy ơn Thánh Linh để nói tiên tri, thấy khải tượng và có những ước mơ.)
III. Gifts
1) Speaking prophecies is a gift given by the Holy Spirit… as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12 – “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them... 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits…” (Ơn tứ nói tiên tri là do Thần Linh Chúa ban cho, như có chép trong 1 Côrinhtô 12 – “Có nhiều ân tứ khác nhau, nhưng chỉ cùng một Ðức Thánh Linh... có người được ơn làm phép lạ, người khác được ơn nói tiên tri, có người được ơn phân biệt các linh…”)
> Prophesying usually means to speak about things to come. (Nói tiên tri thường có nghĩa là nói trước đến những điều sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai.)
# The Greek word translated “prophesying” means to “speak forth,” (Forth-telling)… and not ambiguous prediction that many people misunderstand. (Theo nguyên nghĩa của tiếng Hy-lạp, nói tiên tri là “lộ ra” trước những điều chắc chắn sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai, chứ không phải là sự tiên đoán mập mờ những việc không có nền tảng rõ rệt.)
> Speaking prophecy today is little different from the Old Testament time, because we now have the complete Bible Canons… from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21; so, all the prophecies today must be within the context of the Bible, the sound doctrines of the words of God. (Nói tiên tri ngày hôm nay khác với ngày xưa ở một chỗ là bây giờ c/ta có đầy đủ cả Kinh Thánh là lời Chúa trọn vẹn từ Sáng thế Ký 1:1 cho đến Khải Huyền 22:21, mà tất cả những lời tiên tri ngày nay phải ở trong phạm vi của Kinh Thánh đã được công nhận.)
> I believe that we are living in the last days (not last day) which begun after Jesus’ death and resurrection… that we hear so many prophecies about the end time liked never before. (Tôi tin rằng c/ta đang sống trong những ngày cuối cùng, bắt đầu từ ngay sau khi Chúa Giê-su chết và sống lại, và nay c/ta nghe đến rất nhiều những lời tiên tri người ta nói về thời kỳ sau rốt.)
# Many signs of prophecies written in the Bible for the last days are happening before our eyes about wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes in various places, Christians’ persecutions, the drifting away of faith/the love for God getting cold for many people, many false prophets deceiving people, increase of wickedness, and the increases in computer technologies that help spreading the gospel to the end of the earth; at the same time paving the way for the wicked anti-christ to dominate the world one day, before the final Armageddon battle. (Có rất nhiều dấu hiệu về những lời tiên tri đang ứng nghiệm trước mắt c/ta: Nào là nghe nói về chiến tranh và tin đồn về chiến tranh, nạn đói/ôn dịch/động đất, bắt bớ và sự bỏ đạo, nhiều tiên tri giả sẽ nổi lên và dẫn dắt nhiều người đi lạc lối, tội ác gia tăng, kỹ thuật điện tử phát triển vượt bực… giúp đem Tin Lành được giảng ra khắp thế giới, nhưng cũng là phương cách chuẩn bị cho kẻ chống nghịch anti-christ dẽ xuất hiện và thống trị thế giới với số mật mã “666,” cho đến trận chiến cuối cùng Armageđon trên đất này.)
> The Bible is sufficient for us to know also about the future God’s kingdom: the church rapture, the tribulation, the return of Jesus Christ – our Lord, the Millennium, the final judgment, the eternal life with God in heaven; So, we do NOT need any new prophecy, but just discovering the hidden revelations that are already written in the Scriptures. (Kinh Thánh đã được duy trì trọn vẹn để c/ta biết về thế giới tương lai, từ lúc Hội Thánh sẽ được cất lên, 7 năm đại nạn, sự trở lại của Chúa Giê-su, sự phán xét cuối cùng, 1000 năm thái bình, và sự sống đời đời trong nước thiên đàng; cho nên c/ta không cần có một lời tiên tri mới nào nữa, mà không có được chép trong Kinh Thánh.)
> We must hold all prophecies to the Scriptures alone, as God has already given to us; We do not need any addition or refinement that comes from extra-human arousing revelations or self-stimulating prophecies. (Nền tảng đức tin của c/ta đã được ổn định trên Kinh Thánh, là lời Thánh, nên c/ta không cần thay đổi hay thêm bớt, và c/ta không cần có thêm một điều tiên tri nào mới nữa, do ý riêng của con người khuấy động lên.)
> For this reason, the apostle Peter warned the churches about false prophets and teachers in 2 Peter 2:1: “There were false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you.” (Vì lý do này mà sứ đồ Phiêrơ đã cảnh cáo Hội Thánh – “Trong dân gian đã xuất hiện các tiên tri giả, cũng như giữa anh chị em sẽ có các giáo sư giả.”)
> Christians must be aware of those who claim to have a “new” message/prophecy from God that are NOT written or could be verified in the Bible. (C/ta phải luôn coi chừng những ai hay nói mình có lời tiên tri mới từ Chúa, nhưng không được kiểm chứng bằng lời Kinh Thánh.)
# Don’t you know that - The main reason causing many cults today is because someone said that he/she has a new revelation/prophecy from God, but it is outside what the Bible teaches.
2) Not just the gift of prophesying, but when we are filled of God’s Spirit, we can see visions. (Không chỉ nói tiên tri về những việc sẽ đến mà thôi, nhưng khi Thần của Chúa đổ trên c/ta, c/ta có thể thấy những khải tượng nữa.)
a) Daniel saw many visions, at least five, and especially visions and dreams about the end time, the seventieth (70th) week - which is the 7 years of tribulation to come. (Tiên tri Đaniên thấy nhiều khải tượng, tối thiểu 5 điều, nhất là khải tượng của tuần lễ thứ 70, đây là nói đến 7 năm đại nạn sẽ sắp xảy ra trong tương lai, trước ngày Chúa Giê-su trở lại.)
b) In Acts 10, Peter saw the vision of the unclean animals for him to eat; So, Jesus could teach him to understand that Grace and salvation is for everyone, including the gentiles and Greeks. (Trong Công Vụ 10, sứ đồ Phiêrơ thấy khải tượng của những con vật ô uế và nghe có tiếng phán “hãy ăn đi,” để Chúa dạy dỗ Phiêrơ biết sự cứu rỗi đến với mọi người, vì đó là ý của Chúa.)
c) In Acts 9, a disciple named Ananias… who had a vision that God called him to come to Saul and restored his sight. (Trong Công Vụ 9, một môn đồ tên Anania thấy khải tượng Chúa gọi ông đến đặt tay trên Saulơ là kẻ ngày trước khét tiếng bắt bớ đạo Chúa, để người ấy được sáng mắt lại, mà đi rao giảng Tin Lành cho người ngoại.)
> The scriptures even make it clear that dreams and visions would increase "in the last days,” and I believe we are living in these last days. (Kinh Thánh nói rõ trong những ngày cuối cùng, con dân Chúa sẽ càng thấy nhiều khải tượng hơn, và tôi tin rằng c/ta đang sống trong thời điểm đó.)
a) Visions can be seen with the physical eyes. (Khải tượng có thể thấy bằng mắt trần.)
# In Matthew 17 - three of the apostles went up in a high mountain and saw Moses and Elijiah talking with Jesus during His transfiguration – They saw His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. (Như sự hóa hình của Chúa Giê-su trên núi cao mà Phi-rơ, Gia-cơ, và Giăng thấy được sự rực rỡ của Chúa hiện ra & nói chuyện với Môi-se và tiên tri Ê-li.)
b) Visions can come as vocally. (Khải tượng có thể thấy được bằng lời nghe.)
# In Acts 18:9-10 said – “One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision to comfort and strengthen him: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” (Như có chép trong Công Vụ 18, khi Phaolô nghe thấy lời Chúa phán với mình – “Ðừng sợ. Cứ tiếp tục rao giảng và đừng im lặng, 10 vì Ta ở với con. Không ai có thể ra tay làm hại con, vì Ta có nhiều người trong thành nầy.”)
c) Many of us can receive intellectual visions, in which the mind perceives a spiritual truth that are inspired/moved/convicted by God’s Spirit, when we listen to or study the words of God. (Phần đông c/ta cũng thấy được những khải tượng khi trí thức của c/ta nhận biết được những lẽ thật của lời Chúa, qua sự cảm nhận/cáo trách của Thánh Linh ban cho, khi c/ta học lời Chúa.)
> This is what Paul meant when he said in Ephesians 1:18 – “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” (Đây là điều mà Phaolô đã nói trong Êphêsô 1:18 – tôi cầu nguyện “… cho mắt lòng anh chị em được khai minh, để anh chị em có thể nhận biết hy vọng Ngài đã kêu gọi anh chị em là gì, sự giàu có của cơ nghiệp vinh hiển đang dành cho các thánh đồ là thể nào, 19 và sự lớn lao vô lượng của quyền năng Ngài dành cho chúng ta…)
> Do you see a vision of a future event, when you pray “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name, Your kingdom come?” as Jesus taught His disciples to pray. (C/ta có thấy một khải tượng sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai mỗi khi c/ta cầu nguyện – “Lạy Cha chúng con trên trời, Nguyện danh Cha được tôn thánh, 10 Nguyện vương quốc Cha mau đến,” không?)
> Do you see a vision of the eternal kingdom when Jesus, the King above all kings, and Lord of all lords will reign supremely? (Quí vị có thấy khải tượng của Vương quốc đang đến, mà Chúa Giê-su là Vua trên muôn vua, Chúa trên muôn chúa… sẽ trị vì đời đời không?)
> Do you see a vision about a coming day… that “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Có thấy khải tượng một ngày – “… khi nghe đến danh Ðức Chúa Jesus, Mọi đầu gối trên trời, trên đất, và bên dưới đất thảy đều quỳ xuống, 11 Và mọi lưỡi phải tuyên xưng Ðức Chúa Jesus Christ là Chúa, Dâng vinh hiển lên Ðức Chúa Trời là Ðức Chúa Cha.)
> People receive visions in a number of different ways, but all must come from the same divine source - God. (Cho dù mọi người nhận thấy những khải thị khác nhau, nhưng đều đến từ một Chúa.)
> Just as speaking prophecies, we must be aware of false visions given by demonic powers. (Cũng như nói tiên tri, c/ta phải coi chừng những khải tượng đến từ quyền lực của ma quỉ.)
# In 2 Corinthians 11:14 - We are warned that Satan can "transform himself into an angel of light." (Trong 2 Côrinhtô 11, lời Chúa nhắc nhở c/ta biết – “Thật chẳng lạ gì, vì chính Sa-tan đã đội lốt một thiên sứ sáng láng,” mà lừa dối nhiều người với những khải tượng sai lầm.)
# You cannot believe when someone said: “I read horoscope (tử vi) yesterday, and last night when I went to sleep, I have a new vision for the church from God?”
# You cannot believe when someone said: “I read Fox News this morning, I felt good, and God gives me a new vision for the church,” but it was not written in the Bible?
> We must discern all visions… to make sure that they come from God and hold up to Scriptural examination; for that reason, the apostle John said in 1 John 4:1 – “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (C/ta phải biết phân biệt mọi khải tượng, để biết đến từ Chúa hay không, bằng cách thử nghiệm nó, như chính sứ đồ Giăng đã dạy: “Anh chị em yêu dấu, đừng vội tin linh nào cả, nhưng hãy thử xem các linh ấy có phải đến từ Ðức Chúa Trời chăng, vì có nhiều tiên tri giả đã xuất hiện khắp thế gian rồi.)
> All visions must be verified by the Scriptures alone; Any vision in opposition to the teachings of the Bible is false. Any vision that contradicts the Bible must be rejected. (Mọi khải tượng phải được minh chứng coi xem có đi đúng với lời Kinh Thánh không, nếu không thì c/ta phải loại bỏ đi.)
> We must study God’s words diligently; so, that we have the discernment to recognize false prophecies, visions and dreams. (C/ta phải học lời Chúa thật kỹ càng, để có thể phân biệt được những lời tiên tri, khải tượng nào đến từ Chúa… hay từ ma quỉ.)
# The story about a gemstone named “Jade.”
> A student went up to the high mountain & wanted to learn kung-fu from a master.
> The first lesson was about patience. The master just put him in a dark room and placed a jade (beautiful gemstone) in his palm & closed the door for several hours, and then told him to go home.
> Every day for a week, in the same dark room, same Jade for several hours, and then go home.
> One day, in the dark, the master gave the student a rock… little lighter than Jade, little less smooth (xần xùi) than Jade, and as soon as the master placed in the student palm, he yelled: “Master, master, it’s not Jade!”
> Why? because the student touched and felt that Jade for so long, so many days, and he knew exactly when a rock was not Jade.
> We must study the Bible so carefully, so that if there is a false vision, we can know right away – “It’s not Jade! It’s not from God.” (Không đến từ Chúa đâu!)
> We must not forget why the Spirit gives us visions? (Tại sao Thần của Chúa cho c/ta thấy những khải tượng?)
a) Spirit sends visions to guide God’s people and reveal His will to them, liked in the case of Paul receiving a vision in Acts 16 during the night about a man asking him to come to Macedonia (now Europe) preaching the gospel of Jesus. (Thần của Chúa cho c/ta thấy những khải tượng để c/ta biết ý muốn của Chúa, như trường hợp của Phaolô nhận được khải tượng đi qua xứ Maxêđônia để giảng Tin lành cho người ngoại.)
b) Spirit sends visions and dreams to encourage and comfort God’s people. (Thần của Chúa cho c/ta thấy những khải tượng để khích lệ và an ủi c/ta, có thể trong giữa hoạn nạn và sự bối rối.)
# Matthew 1:20-21 – “But after Joseph had considered this (wondered why his pledged wife Mary got pregant, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Trong Mathiơ 1, khi Giô-sép đang suy nghĩ về việc tại sao vợ đã hứa gả cho mình là Mari lại mang thai, thì một thiên sứ của Chúa hiện đến với chàng trong chiêm bao, bảo rằng, “Hỡi Giô-sép, con cháu Ða-vít, chớ ngại lấy Ma-ry làm vợ, vì thai nhi trong dạ nàng đã được thụ thai bởi Ðức Thánh Linh. 21 Nàng sẽ sinh một con trai; ngươi phải đặt tên con trai ấy là Jesus, vì chính con trai ấy sẽ cứu dân Ngài ra khỏi tội.”)
> For some - Why worship and serving God is so boring? (Tại sao sự thờ phượng và hầu việc Chúa chán ngán vậy?)
> Maybe because we lose our purposes why we are still here on earth? We need to see visions that can encourage us to be faithful in worship and serving God to the end? (Có thể vì c/ta đã đánh mất mục đích tại sao Chúa còn để Hội Thánh ở trên trần thế này làm gì? C/ta cần thấy những khải tượng, cần có những ước mơ… để khích lệ c/ta trung tín trong sự thờ phượng và hầu việc Chúa cho đến cuối cùng, không mệt mỏi chăng?)
> Godly visions strengthen a person's spiritual life, producing humility, obedience, patience, and a deep & total surrender to the Divine will. (Sự khải tượng từ Chúa thì sẽ làm vững đức tin của một người, thêm cho c/ta sự khiêm tốn, vâng phục, kiên nhẫn, chịu đựng và đời sống tận hiến cho Chúa.)
> I believe that when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we can see correct visions, then our life will change, and all the things of this world will become less important. (Tôi tin rằng nếu c/ta được đầy dẫy Thần của Chúa, c/ta sẽ thấy những khải tượng mà nó sẽ biến đổi cuộc đời và lối sống của c/ta, và làm cho mọi thứ ở trên trần gian này trở nên vô ý nghĩa, chỉ còn là hư không mà thôi.)
# In 1 John 3 – What did the apostle John say? “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as he is. 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as He is pure.” (Trong 1 Giăng 3, sứ đồ Giăng nói – “Anh chị em yêu dấu, bây giờ chúng ta là con cái Ðức Chúa Trời, và chúng ta sẽ ra sao thì chưa được tiết lộ, nhưng điều chúng ta biết chắc là khi Ngài hiện đến, chúng ta sẽ trở nên giống như Ngài, vì Ngài như thế nào, chúng ta sẽ thấy Ngài như thể ấy. 3 Phàm ai có hy vọng nầy nơi Ngài thì phải làm cho mình trở nên thánh sạch như Ngài là Ðấng Thánh Sạch.”)
> Having the vision of Jesus’ glorious return, it will motivate us to pursue holiness, and not just happiness. (Với khải tượng của sự Chúa Giê-su trở lại vinh hiển, c/ta sẽ đeo đuổi sự thánh khiết, chứ không chỉ tìm những vui thỏa, sung sướng, giàu sang trong cuộc sống này thôi.)
# I struggle with sins just like all of you, but I found a secret in these verses that John taught and I pray every day – “Help me Lord to keep the vision of Your glorious appearance in the clouds one day soon to rapture Your church, in my heart and mind… so that today I would not sin against You.” (Tôi cũng tranh đấu với những cám dỗ giống như quí vị mà thôi, nhưng tôi tìm được một bí quyết để thắng được, đó là cầu nguyện: “Xin Chúa giúp con thấy và giữ được khải tượng của Ngài sẽ trở lại trên mây một ngày để đem Hội Thánh về trời, để hôm nay con sống không phạm tội cùng Chúa.”)
# It is sad that many people today claiming that they are Christians, but their life is molded, framed, shaped, controlled totally by the things of this world and the desires of the flesh; I believe that because their vision of Jesus’ return is blurry and fuzzy; Some live liked Jesus would never return, His appearance promise is just a myth? (Rất tiếc là có những người xưng mình là Cơ Đốc Nhân, nhưng đời sống hoàn toàn vẫn còn bị đóng khung vào những thói tục của trần thế; tôi nghĩ rằng là bởi vì sự khải tượng của Chúa Giê-su trở lại đã bị mờ nhạt, lu mờ trong tấm lòng họ rồi. Họ không tin và không có sự trông cậy gì hết về ngày Chúa Giê-su sẽ trở lại rất gần.)
> If the vision of Jesus’ return in your heart is clear, you cannot live a careless and no-fruit life. (Nếu thật sự khải tượng Chúa Giê-su sẽ trở lại ở trong lòng bạn, thì bạn không thể nào còn sống một cuộc đời xa đọa, luông tuồng, đầy những tham vọng nữa và không sanh trái chi hết.)
3) When we see the visions the Spirit gives us, then He will also put in our heart the dreams of things we want to do and glorify God. (Khi c/ta thấy khải tượng thì Thần của Chúa cũng đặt trong lòng của c/ta những mơ ước và cảm động c/ta làm được những việc khó và lớn cho Ngài.)
> Have you ever dreamed BIG for God and what is your plan to achieve that dream? (Bạn có bao giờ có những mơ ước lớn nào cho Chúa không, và cùng một lúc bạn có những kế hoạch gì để có thể làm những ước mơ đó thành sự thật không?)
a) I dream that VHBC will be a great influential gospel church to the community here, but how many of us are willing to stand at Hongkong market to pass out Christian tracts and ready to witness to someone? (Tôi mơ ước VHBC sẽ là một nguồn ảnh hưởng lớn của đạo Chúa Giê-su tại vùng này, nhưng có bao nhiêu người trong c/ta sẽ bằng lòng đứng trước những tiệm ăn để làm chứng đạo?)
b) I dream that VHBC will have the greatest youth pastor, but how many of young people would hear God’s calling and are willing to go to a theology school to prepare becoming a pastor? (Tôi mơ ước VHBC sẽ có một vị mục sư trẻ lo cho thế hệ tương lai, nhưng có bao nhiều người trẻ ở đây sẽ nghe được tiếng gọi của Chúa, bước vào trường thần học, để chuẩn bị trở nên vị mục sư đó?)
# Vietnamese churches have big dreams, but not many is willing to pay the price to make our dreams come true? (Hội Thánh Việt Nam có nhiều ước mơ lớn lắm, nhưng chưa có nhiều người bằng lòng trả gía để làm cho những ước mơ này thành sự thật.)
c) Almost 2 years ago, someone in this church had the vision of reaching out to the Cambodian people because they love them. Now they host the Cambodian group faithfully in their home with the vision and hope that many will be saved. (Khoãng 2 năm trước đây, có người đã thấy khải tượng về nhóm truyền giáo cho người Cambốt và đã và đang mở cửa nhà của mình để tiếp đón họ, và mong ước nhiều người bạn Cambốt của mình được cứu.)
d) Someone has the vision to reach out to the Vietnamese in his small city and believes that it can be done through “live streaming, facebook, website” ministry of the church worship service… to reach “even to the ends of the earth,” until Jesus returns. (Có người khác thì có khải tượng sẽ đem Tin Lành của Chúa đến cho vùng mình qua kỹ thuật “trực tiếp chiếu các buổi thờ phượng” và cổ động Hội Thánh có phương tiện này để đem Tin Lành này đến cùng trái đất?)

> What are your visions and dreams for God? (Những khải tượng và mơ ước của bạn là gì?)
> Maybe you say to yourself – I don’t have any vision or dream? (Có thể quí vị tự nghĩ – tôi không có những khải tượng và mơ ước này?)
> I believe that is not the problem, but the real issue is – “Are you being “drunk/saturated/filled” with the Holy Spirit? (Đó không phải là vấn đề, nhưng câu hỏi là “đời sống của tôi có đầy dẫy/thấm nhuần/say mê Thần của Chúa không?)
> The apostle Paul used a picture to describe this Holy Spirit’s saturation in Ephesians 5:8 – “Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness, but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit and constantly guided by Him.” (Sứ đồ Phaolô cho c/ta thấy hình ảnh “say mê” này qua người bị rượu điều khiển – “Ðừng say rượu, vì rượu xui cho ngông cuồng, nhưng hãy đầy dẫy Ðức Thánh Linh. 19 Hãy dùng những bài thánh thi, thánh ca, và linh khúc mà đối đáp với nhau. Hãy đem hết tâm hồn hát ca và tôn ngợi Chúa.”)
> When alcohol & strong drinks saturate a person life, they control his body in a destructive way; But in a reverse sense, we should get “drunk/soaked/overflowed” with the Holy Spirit and the words of God, be saturated with the power of the Holy Spirit, then we will see visions… that can motivate us, make our life fresh, and we begin to dream of doing great things for God. (Rượu thấm nhuần một người say; thì trong một ý ngược lại, nếu c/ta được đầy dẫy Thánh Linh, thấm nhuần lời của Chúa, say mê Ngài… thì c/ta sẽ thấy được những khải tượng thúc đẩy, làm cho đời sống c/ta luôn mới mẻ, mạnh mẻ… có những mơ ước làm được những việc khó và lớn cho Chúa.)
> What is your mind “filled” with today? Is it the things of this world or the things of God? (Tâm trí của c/ta đang chứa những gì? Chỉ những điều thuộc thế gian này hay là những việc của Chúa?)
> Every believer has the Spirit of God, but that does not mean everyone is filled with Him? (Con cái Chúa - Ai cũng có Thánh Linh trong lòng, nhưng chưa chắc ai cũng đều được đầy dẫy Ngài?)
> If you are filled of God’s Spirit, you will speak prophecies to bring hope, see visions that bring life purposes, dream, and do great things for the Lord. (Nếu bạn được đầy dẫy Thần của Chúa, bạn có thể nói lời tiên tri đem đến hy vọng, thấy những khải tượng đem đến mục đích cho đời sống, và có những ước mơ làm được những việc khó và lớn cho Ngài.)
> Do you want to? It is your own choice and mine. (Bạn có muốn không? Đó là tuỳ ở quí vị và tôi mà thôi.)
> May the words of God be fulfilled in our life today. (Cầu xin lời của Chúa hôm nay được ứng nghiệm trọn vẹn trên đời sống của mỗi con cái Ngài.)
------------------------- Invitation
> Do you know that the Holy Spirit lives with you… and lives in you?
> Because the promise of pouring out of the Holy Spirit is already fulfilled in the day of Pentecost.
> Then you can prophesy, telling the world of the things to come… that are already written in the Bible; so, people can have hope.
> You can have visions of the glorious return of Jesus Christ, His coming kingdom… when all knees shall bow and all tongues will confess that Jesus is Lord, so you can just keep going strong and be faithful unto the end.
> You can dream of doing the things that God loves and does.
> We are living in the last days; so, let’s re-focus our visions and dreams of what we should do, how we should live and place priorities correctly?
> God has a plan for each of us as said in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
> What is this plan for us?
# It’s not just about coming to church on Sunday for few hours and go home.
# It’s not just about raising your voice to sing a few worship songs.
> It is about finding God’s purpose in our life, His will, and obey.
> Has God given you a vision of what He can do in your life?
> Has God given you a vision of what He can do in your family?
> Has God given you a vision of what He can do in this church for His honour and Glory?
> Has God given you a vision of what He can do in this community?
> The Holy Spirit can help you to see, follow His will and purposes that God has for you.
> The Holy Spirit can help you to be the person God has called you to be.
> What do you dream of happening in your own life?
> Do you dream of renewed strength?
> Do you dream of a deeper faith in Jesus?
> Do you dream of a closer walk with God?
> Do you dream of seeing people you share faith with coming to know Jesus as their Lord & Saviour?
> Do you dream that every Sunday some people will make decisions to trust and follow Jesus Christ in this church?
> Do you dream to experience His power?
> Allow the Holy Spirit to fill your heart, saturate your mind with His word, open your eyes so you can see visions, inspire you with dreams to dare doing something great for God? To love big, dream big, and do big for God, to have hope and to share that hope to everyone.
> Pray hard and ask the Holy Spirit to fill your life.

> It’s all start with those who once calls on the Name of the Lord Jesus and be saved.
> Without Jesus Christ, there is no hope, there is no pouring out of the Holy Spirit, no prophecies, no vision and no dream.
> But in Christ there is hope, there is the promise of salvation, a future kingdom to all who turn to Jesus.
# Jesus is the way out of the darkness of sin and hopelessness.
# Jesus is the answer to every need.
# Jesus is the only way, the only truth, the only life, that “whosoever calls on His Name will be saved.”
# What a joy! What a hope! What a promise!
> I invite you to come to Jesus, trust Him, follow Him… if you haven’t made this decision.
