Poem 13
New Year Wishes
To each of my dear friends on New Year Eve,
For everything on the way to Christ,
And for a long past year...we now come to
Another new year with new plans...it's coming, too.
Today I'd like to make these wishes for you.
I wish you always the Everlasting Love
That is not "your feelings" but from Above,
And it has the "never-ending mercies of God."
Next I wish you the "freedom" to know God,
The freedom to enjoy, to learn all of His Words.
You freely live in Him along with His blessings
Because Jesus Christ has died for your sins.
Most of all I wish you the true "friendship"
That will last and never disappoint you as in times past.
In fact, Jesus befriends you no matter what.
He will "never leave" you "nor forsake" you.
He is today, tomorrow, and forever through.
May the love of God always be with you!
